Eco Retreat in Cáñar, situated in the Alpujarras Mountains in Granada, Spain was commissioned as a hospitality facility consisting of a central unit building and temporary tent structures for sleeping. The retreat was conceived almost as a landscape project consisting of terracing in the steeply sloped terrain on which very light fabric ‘tents’ were positioned. The central unit housed a communal dining room and kitchen, a bathhouse and a small private residential section for the owners.
